We had a beautiful hibiscus shrub beside our patio that used to produce the most vibrant yellow, red and orange flowers. I’d taken a photo of one particularly lovely bloom and, remembering it later, decided to try my hand at painting a flower.
This one was originally going to be for sale, but we were heading away on a trip in August and I realised it would fit quite nicely into my suitcase. I thought it would make the perfect gift for my sister Donna, who was hosting us.
Thankfully, she was very happy with it, and it now hangs in their lovely condominium in St Pete’s.
