I went to a short Learn to Paint Abstract course to keep a friend company, and I started this painting there.
As you can see, it isn’t particularly abstract! Perhaps I’m just too much of a realist.
I took it back to my regular teacher, who told me we’d have to work on it to make it properly impressionistic. 😊 Two lessons later, it was finished.
I called it Sailing on the Swan. I used the Perth city skyline as the backdrop, with its reflections across the water, and added a couple of sailboats for interest.
