For sale – $425 | 20 × 30 inches | Oil on canvas | Completed July 2025
I’ve painted this scene before on a smaller canvas, but when I was looking for inspiration for a new 20″ × 30″ canvas, I came back to it. My husband Denis said he liked the original, so I decided to paint it again – this time bigger and taller.
We originally went to Lesmurdie Falls on an expedition to photograph the main falls. But where we parked meant descending a very long stairway to the bottom – and the thought of having to climb all the way back up put both of us off!
Instead, we walked in the other direction and came across this spot. It had everything I was looking for – native bush, flowing water and those lovely rocks.
