This was the second painting I completed during my palette knife course.
I found this one much more enjoyable to paint. Although it has an impressionistic feel, the landscape gave me a stronger sense of structure, which suited me as I continued learning to paint with the palette knife rather than focusing on fine detail.
I loved having Spring Explosion hanging in our home, but it was wonderful to know someone else loved it enough to make it part of theirs.
