This painting was inspired by a beautiful early-morning photograph taken by my sister, Carol, during a walk at Mt. Pleasant. I loved the soft colours reflected across the river as the day was just beginning, and used a combination of paintbrush and palette knife to capture the scene.
This one was painted as a birthday gift for our younger daughter, Robyn – who, like her sister, is quite particular about what she hangs on her walls! Thankfully, this one passed the test and now has a place in her home.
