This painting began with another canvas that wasn’t working. It had started life at a Paint and Sip event, but I knew I could create something I liked much more.
When I found this reference photo, it immediately caught my eye. Flowing water and shafts of light filtering through the trees are two subjects I never tire of painting, so it felt like the perfect choice.
This little painting also holds a special place in my heart because it became my very first sale. Seeing someone connect with my work enough to take it home was a wonderful milestone in my journey as an artist.
