This painting marked an important step in my journey with the palette knife.
Seeing me struggle to capture every tiny detail, my teacher, Jana, encouraged me to complete her palette knife course and learn to paint with more freedom and confidence. Tranquility was the first painting I completed during that course.
What I love most is the soft light reflected across the water and the loose, expressive marks that the palette knife makes possible. Every painting teaches me something, and this one helped me let go of perfection and simply enjoy the process.
