I love our little back patio and spend a great deal of time there. One day I was sitting outside admiring how lovely the garden looked and took a few photos, thinking they might make good subjects for paintings.
Not long afterwards, a friend was holding an open garden event and invited a couple of us to bring along some paintings to sell. I decided to paint three small garden scenes for the occasion, including this shady little corner of our own garden.
I was very thrilled when all three found new homes.
