My friend asked me to paint this sugar cane scene in Barbados from a photo she took.
I loved the contrast between the dark, dense cane and those lovely feathery tops against the blue sky.
It was a relatively simple commission with a very personal connection for its new owner – and I’m pleased to say she was very happy with the result.
